Duties: The Construction &
Maintenance Worker reports to the District Ranger, Upper South East for the development
and implementation of a broad maintenance program within Parks and Reserves
managed by the Upper South East District.
The responsibilities include undertaking a range of practical general
maintenance and land management tasks, weed and vermin control, periodic
inspection of facilities and assets, maintaining visitor use facilities and
liasing with other staff to carry out works within the District. |

Special Conditions: This is a part‑time position
working 22.8 hours per week and rate of pay will be adjusted according to
actual hours worked. Hours of duty
are 22.8 hours per week, being 7.6 hours a day on Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday. Hours may be varied subject
to agreement between parties involved.
The position is located at the Naracoorte Caves National Park but the
work is conducted in remote locations (and sometimes alone) in over 20
Reserves and Parks across the Upper South East District. A current first aid certificate and a
current drivers licence and truck licence, with a willingness to drive, are
essential. The officer will be
required to wear a uniform in accordance with Departmental policy and be
required to have successfully passed a physical fitness assessment undertaken
by a medical practitioner. |

Duties: The Security Control Centre
is a Grade A1 Monitoring Centre certified in accordance with Australian
Standard (AS2201.2). The SCC is
responsible for monitoring and coordinating the 24/7 operations of Police
Security Services Branch (PSSB) utilising the Government Radio Network (GRN)
and SAPOL’s Computer Aided Despatch System.
The SCC is responsible for monitoring electronic security devices
