Quick Search Options
Quick Search allows you to search for positions on six options. You may enter search criteria into all or none of these fields. Leaving all six as they are and clicking on 'Search' allows you to view all the current vacancies in the system.
Vacancy Number
By entering the vacancy number, and clicking on the Search button, you directly access details of the vacancy and any downloads attached to that vacancy.
Keywords – Search Tips
One word
Searching for a keyword of project would list all positions within Vacancies or Nominations that include this word.
More than one word
To search for all specified keywords, separate words using a comma or "and". Example administrative, support with another example administrative and support and payroll. These words would not necessarily appear together in the ad details. To search for any specified keywords, separate words using "or". Example administrative or support.
Phrase searches
Searching for a keyword phrase would list all positions within Vacancies or Nominations that include this phrase. Example account management.
Classifications
Default is for all classifications. You can either search for one specific classification by clicking in the tick box, or more than one classification level at a time. To refresh, choose "click to clear selection".
All Occupational Codes
Occupational codes are used to group similar positions together. You can either search for all occupational codes, or select one code at a time from the drop down list.

Location groups vacancies by geographical location. You can either search for all locations, or select one specific location at a time from the drop down list.
All Departments / Agencies
You can either search for all departments / agencies, or select one specific department / agency at a time from the drop down list.
Advanced Search Options
The Advanced Search allows you to search for positions using a range of fields. You may enter search criteria into all or none of these fields. Leaving all fields as they are and clicking on 'Search' allows you to view all the current vacancies in the system.
Vacancy Number
By entering the vacancy number, and clicking on the Search button, you directly access details of the vacancy and any downloads attached to that vacancy.
Position Title
If you know the title of the position/s you wish to view, then enter it in here. The field is not case-sensitive (ie you do not need to use capital letters). You can only search for one position title at a time, but if you enter a partial title, you may view a wider range of results. For example, if you are searching for a research-based job, entering 'research' into this field will return you all 'research assistant', 'research officer', 'assistant researcher' etc positions. If you do not wish to search by position title, leave this field blank.
Publish Date
You can search by publish date, which is very useful if you view the website every week. As most jobs are open for applications for two weeks, every week the jobs you see will be approximately 50% new and 50% from the week before. Choosing the most recent publication date allows you to filter out the vacancies you have already seen.
